Basket weave
silk suit
One of DICIB's regular couture customers brought in some beautiful basket weave turquoise silk and asked us to make a suit for her, comprised of a jacket and a matching dress. The Jacket has a wide collar, self covered buttons, and an extra gusset under the arm. With this extra gusset, the short, cropped jacket wont rise up when the customer raises her arms. The dress underneath is a simple sheath with short sleeves and a walking vent in back. The suit and dress are both lined in creme rayon lining, to make them both comfortable to wear. The last photo is a work in progress photo before the jacket was finished.
